3D CT Scan

3D CT Scan

Here’s my head…. creepy huh! Scans were taken prior to visiting with neurologist & neurosurgeon specialising in Chiari Malformation.  The weird spikey bits poking out the side aren’t some freaky deformity, that’s the scan’s reaction to my fillings.

Autumn Leaves

I didn’t have the camera out much at all in NY which is a shame because I had intended to take some photos of the autumn leaves. Best I could do was capture a shot from video I took while out driving with Becky & Matt.

Dennis Variety House

After my first scary night alone in NY I was woken by a phone call from Dennis letting me know that there was room available for me at Variety House. Dennis is the caretaker of the premises and a lovely, caring man, his commitment to looking after the place and the people in it is wonderful.

All alone in a hotel room that didn’t feel at all welcoming and couldn’t even take comfort in comfort food - yucky New York pizza

Snow between LA and NY

Flying from Los Angeles to New York - I really wanted to see snow during my trip, this was as close as I got. Qantas were amazing and really went above and beyond to look after me during my flights.

Westin Airport hotel

Stayed at the very nice Westin Airport hotel in Los Angeles between being in Las Vegas and heading to New York. Got an awesome rate on the room, but the room service prices meant I ate a packet of corn chips for dinner.

The Grand Canyon

The Grand Canyon

The tour was amazing. Started by flying out of Las Vegas in a 12(ish) seater plane, landed at the top of the canyon and took a bus ride over to the glass walkway called the skywalk. Then jumped on a bus again to where the best views of the canyon are and snapped a couple of quick shots before running (literally) back to the bus so I’d get back quickly enough to catch the helicopter which flew us down to the bottom of the canyon where we had a nice quiet boat ride, astounding views.
